Meet Our Team

Ashley Ingram earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from Virginia Tech before completing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) at Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences.

She is a certified Driving Rehabilitation Professional (DRP) with a passion for helping individuals maintain independence and improve their quality of life — both at home and in the community. Ashley is one of the few occupational therapists in the region with experience integrating mental health into rehabilitation, particularly for patients navigating neurological diagnoses. She incorporates mental health practices into each treatment session, ensuring a truly holistic approach to care.

Ashley’s career spans acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and home health, giving her a comprehensive perspective on the patient journey. Her leadership experience as Director of Rehabilitation at an Assisted Living Facility further reflects her commitment to improving access to high-quality care.

Outside of work, Ashley is married with one son and enjoys riding horses, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Courtney Perkins is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and a PWR!Moves® Certified Therapist with advanced training in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. She brings a strong passion for working with older adults, using evidence-based strategies to challenge and empower them physically, mentally, and functionally. Courtney is deeply committed to helping individuals maintain mobility, independence, and a high quality of life as they age.

In her role as Lead Therapist within Carilion Clinic’s inpatient and outpatient brain injury physical therapy program, Courtney had a pivotal role in both patient care and research, notably as a primary investigator focusing on High Intensity Gait Training for individuals recovering from brain injuries.

Deeply involved in her community, Courtney has demonstrated leadership by founding and facilitating Head Strong, a support group dedicated to offering education and assistance to survivors of strokes, brain injuries, and brain tumors. .

Courtney, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, moved to Roanoke in 2017, where she attended Radford University and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Dr. Lydia Lennox McNeary is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Dr. McNeary is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and holds subspecialty Board Certification in Brain Injury Medicine.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University and her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.

Dr. McNeary served as a Medical Director and attending physician for the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at Carilion Clinic for 16 years.

Throughout her career, Dr. McNeary has been actively involved in professional organizations including the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, participating in various committees and workgroups focused on advocating for her patients and the specialty of PM&R.

Ashley Turner began her healthcare journey at Radford University, earning a bachelor’s in psychology and a master’s in occupational therapy. She started her career as a mental health professional, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Dedicated to promoting independence and enhancing quality of life, Ashley has worked across a variety of healthcare settings, including in-patient rehabilitation, acute care, skilled nursing, assisted and independent living, and memory care. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of patients’ diverse needs and equipped her to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Originally from Harrisonburg, VA, Ashley enjoys hiking, kayaking, visiting family, and walking her dogs—activities that reflect her commitment to well-being, both personally and professionally. These activities not only provide relaxation but also reinforce her commitment to well-being, mirroring the holistic care she provides to her patients.

Ashley Fant is a Physical Therapy Assistant and Functional Fitness Instructor who graduated from Virginia Western’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2024. She has a passion for teaching people how to move correctly and use their bodies efficiently during everyday activities, helping them stay safe, strong, and independent.

Ashley began her career in fitness in 2020 as a CrossFit Level 1–certified coach, working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Through her clinical experience, she has developed a strong interest in working with individuals with complex conditions, supporting people in pursuing optimal fitness despite mobility limitations, pain, or range-of-motion deficits.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys staying active through outdoor activities such as hiking and stand-up paddleboarding. She also volunteers with The Wild Way, an expedition-based outdoor program that provides confidence-building experiences for adolescent girls. Ashley continues to train toward her own strength and performance goals and is a dedicated bodybuilding competitor, placing 4th in her most recent competition.

Laurel earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where she completed a graduate traineeship on the neuro floor at Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital. Mentored by exceptional clinicians, she developed a strong interest in rehabilitation and medical speech therapy—a focus that has guided her career for more than 30 years.

Her professional experience spans a wide range of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation units, acute care, skilled nursing facilities, home health, outpatient clinics, and public schools. While raising her children, Laurel worked for Salem City Schools, providing speech and language therapy to students from preschool through middle school. Once her children were older, she returned to medical speech-language pathology, joining Carilion and later serving veterans at the Salem VA Medical Center, where she concluded her full-time career.

Now recently retired, Laurel continues to work PRN to stay engaged in the profession she loves. This flexible schedule also allows her to pursue other passions, including travel, community volunteering, and time with her two daughters and their families.

Dominique brings nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare administration, having begun her career in a chiropractic practice. She also has a background as a licensed massage therapist, which gives her a unique and valuable perspective on the patient experience—especially for those managing acute or chronic pain—alongside a strong understanding of clinical operations.

Since relocating to Roanoke in 2020, Dominique has continued to broaden her healthcare expertise through part-time work in an inpatient rehabilitation setting while also serving the community as a palliative massage therapist. These roles have strengthened her patient-centered approach and deepened her appreciation for interdisciplinary collaboration.

At Neuro Rehab CoLab, Dominique is dedicated to supporting both patients and the clinical team with organization, compassion, and attention to detail. She takes pride in contributing to all aspects of clinic operations and in helping create a welcoming, efficient, and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

Jhuerlyn is a skilled Healthcare Virtual Assistant with a background in Biology and a strong foundation in Microbiology. A graduate of Mabalacat City College, she brings hands-on experience in lab analysis, quality control, and healthcare processes to her current role in digital clinical support.
